John Valentin (born February 18, 1967) played infield for the Mets in 2002.
Valentin signed with the Mets on January 30th, 2002. As a backup infielder, Valentin would play in 114 games that season for the Mets, hitting .240 with 3 home runs and 30 R.B.I.'s. Valentin's best highlight as a Met was when he went 3-4 with 4 R.B.I.'s against the Houston Astros on May 3rd, 2002. Valentin retired from baseball after the 2002 season.
